Navigating Accreditation and Compliance in Healthcare Meetings and Exhibitions
Exhibiting at healthcare congresses and trade shows presents unique opportunities for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies to engage with healthcare professionals. However, these interactions occur within a highly regulated environment that requires careful coordination between marketing, medical, legal, and compliance teams.
This session will explore how regulatory guidance from organizations such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and AdvaMed shapes exhibit strategy, booth messaging, and onsite engagement with healthcare professionals. Attendees will gain insight into how compliance requirements influence everything from promotional claims and educational materials to booth staffing and responses to off-label questions.
Through practical examples and real-world scenarios, the session will highlight common compliance risks on the exhibit floor and provide actionable strategies for designing compliant yet impactful booth experiences. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to integrate compliance early in the exhibit planning process while still achieving meaningful engagement with scientific and clinical audiences.
Identify key compliance frameworks and industry codes that govern healthcare exhibits and interactions with healthcare professionals.
Recognize common compliance risks related to promotional messaging, booth activities, and off-label inquiries during medical meetings.
Apply practical strategies for aligning marketing, medical, and compliance teams to create engaging and compliant exhibit experiences.
